2026-05-06

The 14th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo will be held from May 15 to 19, 2026, at the Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The theme of this exhibition is "Dinosaurs Take Flight into the Blue Sky - The Mineral Crystal Kingdom of the Dinosaur World". As the only international professional mineral and gem expo in China approved by the State Council and registered with the Ministry of Commerce, the exhibition covers a total area of 60,000 square meters, with 1,200 standard booths and more than 600 exhibitors from home and abroad.

During the event, two academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhou Zhonghe and Xu Xing, will be present to give a popular science lecture on paleontology, sharing their expertise on academic fields such as the origin of birds and the evolution of dinosaurs.

The exhibition will feature a dinosaur-themed pavilion showcasing replicas of Tianyan Zhi Minglong, various pterosaurs, and Anchiornis huxleyi. It will also display Cretaceous enantiornithine amber, ammonite amber, and ancient insect fossils, as well as a collection of rare mineral crystals, providing a platform for industry exchange, academic research, and science popularization.

The China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo was permanently located in Chenzhou in 2015 and has been successfully held for thirteen sessions. It is gradually building an important bridge for domestic and foreign industry cooperation, academic exchange and popular science, and will further promote the integrated development of local cultural tourism and mineral & gem industries.
