A New Melody on the Silk Road, Emotions Gather by the Nile: When Oriental Cheongsam Meets the Pyramids, Chinese and Egyptian Cultures Embrace in a Romantic Moment

On September 20th, the Eurasia Center, the Egyptian Consulate General in Shanghai, and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Culture, alongside the World Cheongsam & Guofeng Alliance and the Jiangsu Provincial Cheongsam Art Committee, gathered in Shanghai for the "China-Egypt Cultural Exchange" event, marking a significant and solid step for the "Belt and Road" Initiative.

Stitch by stitch, the Eastern elegance was fully displayed, traversing mountains and seas to dialogue with ancient Egyptian civilization, allowing the beauty of traditional Chinese attire to shine with unique splendor on the international stage!

Distinguished guests attending this China-Egypt cultural exchange included Mr. Tamer Ayoub, Special Envoy of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Culture; and representatives from the Shanghai office of the Eurasia Center; Ms. He Li, President of the World Cheongsam & Guofeng Alliance and Chairwoman of the Jiangsu Provincial Cheongsam Art Committee; and numerous other guests from the cheongsam associations.

The event aimed to honor outstanding individuals and teams who have made exceptional contributions to China-Egypt cultural exchanges, further promoting in-depth cooperation between the two countries in culture, art, tourism, and other fields.

This coming October, Nanjing is set to host another grand event for Sino-foreign cultural exchange. The Eurasia Center, together with China-Egypt Cultural Exchange Chairperson Ms. He Li, will hold a signing ceremony there, officially launching the magnificent chapter of the "China-Egypt Intangible Cultural Heritage Dialogue Journey." As a key part of this two-way exchange, the delegation plans to embark on an intangible cultural heritage journey to Egypt by the end of 2025. May the friendship between China and Egypt last forever!
